Your incident command team will be led by this month’s Incident Commander, Lt. Col. Denver Radford, at West Houston Airport. Lt. Stewart Markgraf will be conducting ground operations from Ellington Airport (KEFD), and aircraft will be flying out of Conroe (KCXO), Pearland Regional (KLVJ), and West Houston (KIWS). Hopefully, this multi-site plan will provide an opportunity for more people to participate. So, when you register, you will need to indicate where you plan to attend.

Rather than include detailed instructions on how to get to all those places, I will send that information in separate emails. One thing that I need to point out is that Ellington is within a military area, so CAP members are required to show their CAPID card as reason for entry, and proper identification is required for everyone in a vehicle for it to pass through the gate. Parents dropping off cadets must show their photo identification.

According to the national website, Texas Wing is currently in Covid Remobilization Phase III. Our Group Medical Officer just explained to me that while we’re not checking your temperature at the door, Texas Wing still requires face coverings for everyone indoors and for unvaccinated people when outdoors.

We’re doing things all over the metropolitan area, so please plan to participate somewhere. As I always say, we can plan the absolute best training exercise that has ever been held, but without you, it is just a plan.
